I wrote a while back, a long, rambling entry about one of my (many) attempts to create some kind of daily planner / chore list thing that I could use to streamline my life, but then, as is my habit, I promptly set the entry on fire. Because I hadn’t really tested out my new system and I couldn’t recommend it without knowing if it would really work. But now I have used this simple little planning page for a whole year and it works quite nicely, so I’m sharing.
I’m a visual person so I’ve got mornings, afternoons/evenings, and night time color coded. It just helps me see at a glance which chores on my list need to be done when. The best part about it is that it’s so flexible. I can pencil in the day however I see fit. And I always use a pencil so I can erase and move stuff around if I want. Nothing is ever hard and fast here. There are things we do nearly every day, but they might not happen at the same time or in the same order. If I don’t get to check off something I wanted to get done, heck, I can ERASE it and it is as if I never wanted to do it in the first place. Take that, scruddy toilets.
